The New York Public Library’s Treasures
EXHIBITION DESIGN / IDENTITY

The New York Public Library’s Treasures is a permanent exhibition which opened in September 2021 and is on view for the next 75 years. The exhibition showcases over 200 items from the 56 million in NYPL’s collections which tell the stories of people, places, and moments spanning 4,000 years — from the emergence of the written word through to the present day. Pure+Applied worked closely with the NYPL team across different elements of the exhibition including; conceptual development, floorplan and elevation design, case layouts, graphic identity and system design, exhibition graphics and installation, initial marketing strategy and brochure design. This project was a collaboration with Mecanoo, Beyer Blinder Belle and Goppion.
